Connection before appearance
Profiles reveal shared interests and values first. Photos and personal details unlock only with mutual consent. You meet a person, not a picture.
Private by default
Nothing about a member is public unless they choose to share it. Verified identity is kept separate from public presence; you choose your display name.
No manipulation
No engagement-maximizing algorithm, no outrage feed, no addictive design. We're a human-paced space built for wellbeing.
Creator opportunity
Space to be creative and monetize content. Courses, events, subscriptions, and digital products are supported with fair fees that go back into the commons.
How we sustain ourselves
Free to belong — Aceship is funded by those who can give, not by exploiting those who can't.
- Free tier — full participation for every adult (18+).
- Supporter tier (~$10/year) — members who choose to sustain Aceship.
- Founding / patron supporters — early believers who fund, build, and share in its ownership.
- Opt-in, contextual ads → the commons — privacy-respecting, never tracking-based, and from vetted sources. Revenue funds member's safety and keeps the free tier available.
- Creator fees — when members sell courses, events, subscriptions, or digital products through Aceship, the platform collects a small fee (typically ~12%) that goes straight into the commons. Tips and community-funded projects carry little or no platform fee.
Every dollar that comes in goes back into keeping Aceship safe and open.
That promise is credible precisely because we refuse the data-harvesting model.
Who owns Aceship
Aceship is built to be a legacy — so the mission can't be sold, captured, or hollowed out after its founder is gone. It's structured for steward-ownership via a Perpetual Purpose Trust — the kind of structure behind Patagonia, Bosch, and Mozilla.
In plain terms: the platform is owned by its purpose, not by shareholders. Control rests with people committed to the mission; the company's value can't be extracted as private profit; and it legally cannot be sold off to anyone who'd betray what it's for. Members are meant to help govern it, not just use it.

Safety, privacy, and no-manipulation are written into the governance — not just intentions.
Member-governed
Members help steward the commons — voice in surplus use, sub-spaces, projects.
Built to outlast
Steward-owned companies are ~6× likelier to survive beyond 40 years. The structure protects the mission and makes the whole thing enduring.
